Doctor Who?

Doctor Who aimed to provide young people who are currently not in education, employment or training to develop skills in interviewing and research which could later be applied to the workplace.

They carried out a series of semi structured interviews with professional people (doctors and nurses) in order to raise their aspirations, learn about career prospect and highlight their role in contemporary society.

Young people learnt how to improve their role in their own professional lives by interviewing those with more experience, transcribing the interviews and presenting it to new audiences.

By co-creating the text and stories, the participants of the projects provided an oral and written documentation of the of the importance and meaning of education and professional development among a group of diverse age ranges and cultural backgrounds.

The young people created a portfolio of the best interviews and archived this onto a website.
