Photography Workshop in S.O.S Children's Village, Botswana

This project was a one day photography workshop in the S.O.S Children's Village in Botswana, an NGO that cares for orphaned children in the city of Gaborone.

The workshop taught the children camera skills and was based around the idea of 'Home', which enabled the students to explore their own perceptions of home and family.

As well as learning about camera angles and depth of field, the children were able to find expression in communicating their thoughts with their cameras.

At the end of the workshop we studied the printed out photographs and discussed them with each other. We then made a collage of the images to create a collective narrative of each student's story.
